Mystery Booster Commander Card List

The Mystery Booster Commander card list: all 59 new cards, stamped reprints and special categories, with color filters and card references. Updated Oct 23, 2026.

The 59 new cards

Sources checked:

The 59 completely new designs and Tsagan, Raider Warlord’s first paper printing make up the 60-card group numbered 1–60. That is different from the full product pool. The official product article describes more than 2,000 cards; the checked category lists below show exactly which quantities this guide uses.

One box has 24 boosters, each with 20 cards. Fifteen slots are the five colors’ common/uncommon cards; the other five cover the reprint wildcard, reprinted commander, new commander, special-treatment/acorn slot and playtest card. Eight players using three boosters each need 24 packs.

The 60 new-to-paper cards: 59 new designs + Tsagan

All names below are transcribed from the official gallery. The Origin column distinguishes Tsagan’s digital history from the 59 new designs. Use the gallery for images and the release notes for card-specific rulings; this table does not rank prices or power.

New commanders

Start with a commander’s actual deckbuilding permission and recurring payoff. Seluma supports Angels; Tolabow rewards instants and sorceries; The Everforger supports artifact creatures and Equipment. Their Rulebreaker permissions are different, so choosing one does not open the entire card pool. The six previews below link to the official gallery.

Collector numbers 1–60 identify the main new-to-paper group; 61–70 identify the separate acorn group. The first group includes 59 new designs and Tsagan’s first paper appearance. Filter the interactive table to New design for those 59, or First paper printing for Tsagan. The official gallery is useful for images and treatment details, but it omits stamped reprints. Use the published reprint checklist as well before concluding that an older card is absent from the product.

Best cards for Commander

These are editorial starting points, not tested power rankings. Seluma fits an Angel deck that can keep attacking and reuse its graveyard; Tolabow fits a spell-heavy build that uses tokens. The Everforger rewards artifact creature or Equipment density but copies only once each turn. Whtz asks you to accept an unusually large starting deck for its reduced activation cost. Choose by your deck’s needs and mana, then compare alternatives; none is an automatic upgrade for every table.

Card list by color

These counts cover the 59 new designs, using card color rather than color identity. Multicolor cards are counted once in their own group. Tsagan’s digital-to-paper entry, reprints, acorn cards and playtests are excluded. Use the table’s color selector for the full checklist; use current Oracle text when checking your commander’s identity.

Color is useful for browsing, but Commander deck legality uses color identity, including relevant mana symbols in rules text. Rule 903.5e supports only the specific permission supplied by your designated commander. It does not make every card in this checklist eligible for your deck. New MBC cards become Commander-eligible November 13, 2026 and gain other Eternal eligibility January 1, 2027, according to the updated product article. Reprints retain existing eligibility, subject to bans. Check playtest and acorn restrictions separately, then confirm that your mana sources can actually pay for the spells you selected.

FAQ

Are there 59 or 60 new cards?

There are 59 completely new designs plus Tsagan, Raider Warlord, which previously existed digitally. Together they form the 60-card non-acorn group numbered 1–60. They are separated in the checklist and CSV.

Can every card in this list go into a Commander deck?

No. New-card dates, existing format eligibility and banned lists must be checked. Playtest and acorn cards are not legal in Constructed formats. A checklist entry confirms product membership; it does not override format rules.
