The reference service

Mystery Commander provides independent guides, source links, card highlights, and comparisons for Magic: The Gathering players. The guides are free to read, with no account or paid subscription required. The site does not currently offer paid plans or paid guest posts.

Independent, unofficial coverage

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast. Magic: The Gathering, its card names, card images, trademarks, and related materials belong to Wizards of the Coast or their respective rights holders. References and images are used to identify and discuss the game; their inclusion does not transfer any rights to visitors.

Rules, product names, and accuracy

Use the official Comprehensive Rules, Oracle card text, release notes, and current format policies for authoritative information. A guide or community discussion is not an official ruling. Product names, release information, card availability, and format legality may change; a working page title or a search term does not establish that a product has been officially announced.

We aim to distinguish confirmed information from interpretation and speculation. Check the linked official source before relying on a guide for a tournament or a purchase. The site does not guarantee that coverage is complete, current, or free of errors.

Editorial updates

Editorial content may be revised as information becomes available. There is no promise of a particular update schedule, complete spoiler coverage, automatic monitoring, or email notifications.
